Who advises candidates
Through our online portal, Careers at UTS, all unsuccessful applicants are notified by email. This is managed by your HR Partnership team.
The selection committee Convenor must provide post-interview feedback to internal candidates who were not successful at interview. However, it is also good practice for the selection committee convenor to verbally advise the other interviewed candidates that they have not been successful.
The feedback you give should include advice about why the candidate was not recommended for appointment and discussion of their strengths and areas for development. The information you supplied about the candidate on the Selection Committee Recommendation form provides the basis for this feedback.
You are not under any obligation to provide confidential information to the candidate as part of the feedback e.g. the ranking of candidates for appointment or information about the assessment of other candidates.
