We may also retain and use your personal information in the future to provide you with further information on employment opportunities within UTS, unless notified by you that you do not wish this to occur. Personal information that we collect could include your name, contact details, career history, qualifications and psychological profiles. We may also collect information from third parties including licensing authorities, referees, police and background checks. Any personal information provided to UTS will be treated in the strictest confidence.
Please note, if we are unable to collect the personal information we require this may limit UTS's ability to process your application.
UTS, with your consent, may disclose personal information you provide to third parties in order to facilitate the recruitment process. This could include referees, licensing authorities and educational institutions in order to verify information about you and reputable third parties we use in the course of the recruitment process including psychological services.
Outside of these parameters UTS will not disclose personal information about an individual without consent, except where required or authorised by law.
UTS is committed to taking all reasonable steps in order to protect your privacy and personal information from misuse, loss or unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
Unless requested otherwise, unsuccessful candidate information will be stored in our secure online recruitment system for the purpose of addressing future recruitment needs. Access is only provided to authorised personnel.
If you are successful in securing a position at UTS personal details collected during the recruitment process may be placed on your personal file and in our in-house HR system. This information will be managed in accordance with our Employee Records Guidelines. Access to employee information is only provided to authorised personnel.
Should we no longer require your personal information for recruitment purposes, or you request your information to be removed from our records, we will ensure reasonable steps are taken to securely dispose of your information. This is subject to any legal obligations UTS has in relation to retaining specific types of information.
Access to your personal information is available on request, providing it does not unreasonably impact upon the privacy of other individuals and is not subject to exception under the Privacy and Personal information Protection Act 1998.
