AWAs

An Australian Workplace Agreement (AWA) is an individual written agreement between the University and an employee about the employee’s terms and conditions of employment. AWAs may be negotiated collectively or individually, but are required to be signed individually.

Please contact Staff Services, Human Resources Unit, extension 1060 in the first instance about issues associated with AWAs, including:

• you are interested in making an AWA with the University

• you have an AWA and wish to find out further information about it including how to terminate it.

• you want to access an arrangement that may previously have been available under an AWA.  For example, casual academic staff can now salary package all of their salary into a superannuation fund of their choice without an AWA by entering into a salary packaging arrangement.
